Q&A

Q: When and where is the wedding?

The wedding ceremony will take place in St. John's Church, Tralee on Friday 8th August 2025 at 2pm. This will be followed by the reception at Ballygarry Estate Hotel with our drinks reception beginning at 3:30pm.

Q: Is there parking available near your wedding venue(s)?

Yes, St. John's church has quite a large car park but there are multiple other places to park in Tralee Town Center. Ballygarry Hotel also has a car park.

Q: Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting, our drinks reception will be outdoors on the grounds of Ballygarry. If luck is not on our side, this will be indoors. The rest of the events will all be indoors.

Q: What is the dress code for your wedding?

There is no dress code but for anyone contemplating a white dress please note the MOH will be equipped with a glass of red wine at the door.* While it will be August, Irish weather is pretty unforgiving. Keep an eye out if you'll need an umbrella!

*I'm joking...kind of.

Q: Are kids welcome?

While we are excited to see everyone we do ask that only our little relatives are brought to the events.

Q: Is there a gift registry?

As we are living abroad and not in our forever home just yet, we would love in lieu of gifts a donation to our honeymoon fund.

Q: What time should guests arrive at the church?

The ceremony will begin at 2pm sharp so we ask that everyone be situated in a pew by 1:30pm.

Q: Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We invite you to be fully present with us. Please keep all devices turned off during the ceremony as we let the photographers capture the moment.

Q: Could you suggest places to see while I am in town for your wedding?

There is plenty to see and do around Kerry in the summer, take a look at our suggestions here. Puck Fair is definitely something everyone should see once!

Q: What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for about an hour. Guests can make their way to the reception at Ballygarry for 3:30pm where we will have live music, cocktails, freshly baked cookies and tea and coffee.

Q: How do we get from the church to the reception?

It is just a 5 minute drive from the church to the reception with parking available at both venues. Here is a list of local taxi numbers should you need. Please let a member of the bridal party know if you're stuck, there should be plenty of room for everyone.

Q: How do we get back into town from Ballygarry?

Ballygarry Hotel is located just outside the town, no more than 10 minutes from the town center. Here is a list of local taxi numbers or you can organise a lift from the reception desk.

Q: Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

We will try our best to accommodate, please specify when you RSVP what your dietary requirements are.

Q: Is there a Day Two? Where will it be?

Yes, we will be having a Day Two celebration on Saturday 9th August in Molly J's bar. This is located in Benners Hotel in the center of Tralee town.
